Exactly like if you transfer a heavy furniture with storage within it, you should remove these from your kitchen cabinets and countertop bases prior to deciding to install them. They are lighter and easier to cope with if these happen to be taken off beforehand. These are extremely quick and easy to set in when you are finished.
