My novel They Kill, my second release from Flame Tree Books, is now out. While feeling initially like nothing more than a vague teaser, a few of these actually really help choose the right option during latter periods of the game, as recognisable areas of the ship during an important choice, can help save some of the characters.
In my first go-round with this anthology back in the ’80s, I did something that probably a lot of others did too-I bypassed the roughly 20 stories it offered at the front and made a beeline for the back of the book to gobble up the Stephen King story.
In theory there should be far less of a gap between Man of Medan, Little Hope and the other Dark Pictures stories than there was between Until Dawn, which came out in 2015, and Man of Medan. TechRaptor reviewed The Dark Pictures

The script is based on Lois Duncan’s YA horror novel of the same name; you might recall that Duncan also wrote I Know What You Did Last Summer, which spawned three movies. It’s okay to have horror films that focus on just wanting you to have that immediate adrenaline rush, but I didn’t foresee that as being a quality in Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.
Fox plays a ghost story about a mafia boss swearing from the afterlife, and David Walton narrates Tony’s story, Boys’ Club from the new noir anthology, A Time For Violence out on May 1st. Right now, the horror world is thirsty for films with original concepts, practical effects, and genuine scares — which is exactly what THE DARK TAPES plans to deliver.
28. Creepshow 2 (1987) The second film in Stephen King and George A. Romero’s horror franchise, this time directed by Michael Gornick, is more of a mixed bag than the original, with the conventional vengeful statue yarn "Old Chief Wooden Head" completely failing to pass muster.
