ALL OF ATTORNEY ET AL’S CLE LECTURES ARE PRESENTED IN TWO FORMATS: SELF STUDY AND PARTICIPATORY STUDY. IT IS THE SAME LECTURE IN EACH FORMAT WITH THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BEING THE COMPUTER PROGRAM WHICH OPERATES IT.

THE ATTORNEY SELECTS WHICH TYPE OF LECTURE TO PLAY, SELF STUDY OR PARTICIPATORY, FOR THE TYPE OF CLE CREDIT DESIRED.

A SELF STUDY LECTURE IS UNVERIFIED WITH FULL CONTROLS PRESENT

There are no codes needed to play the self study lectures.  Self study is unproctored and the state bar accepts the attorney’s word that were taken.

IN CONTRAST,  A PARTICIPATORY STUDY LECTURE HAS ATTENDANCE VERIFIED BY THE COMPUTER PROCTORING PROGRAM.

CALIFORNIA, FOR INSTANCE, REQUIRES AT LEAST ONE-HALF OF THE CLE HOURS BE PARTICIPATORY IN NATURE. TEXAS REQUIRES AT LEAST 10 HOURS TO BE PARTICIPATORY AND NEW YORK REQUIRES ALL OF THE HOURS TO BE PARTICIPATORY WHEREAS COLORADO AND FLORIDA PERMIT ALL THE HOURS TO BE EITHER SELF STUDY OR PARTICIPATORY.

SELF STUDY CLE LECTURES

The self study lectures are unverified in the sense that no person or computer proctors the attorney’s listening to the lecture. Self study lectures are fully controlled by the attorney who can pause, rewind, fast forward at will. When done listening to the lectures an attorney must submit a Statement of Completion to ATTORNEY ET AL, attesting to the completion and a Certificate of Completion is issued to the attorney.

PARTICIPATORY CLE LECTURES

The participatory lectures are broken into segments. The first segment is around a minute in length, and subsequent segments are approximately fifteen to twenty minutes in duration.

Each lecture segment has a unique four-digit code. In order to start or continue to the next segment in a lecture, you must enter the correct code. The start code for the first segments of each lecture is given below. Subsequent codes are embedded into the audio portion of the lecture. You will hear a computer tone, and be given an instruction to press a button within 30 seconds to prove you are theer and to start the next segment.

In order to verify the attorney’s attendance throughout the lecture participatory credit, the lecture code must be entered while it is being given to proceed to the next segment. If that is not done, then it is assumed the attorney was not present for lecture segment just concluded and the segment just played must be repeated before preceding to the next segment. This is the procedure required for participatory credit to be awarded.

If the button is timely pressed the computer will note it and start the next segment. Breaks of any length can be taken at end of each properly completed segment. When the lecture is to be resumed just enter the original start code for the course and a lecture box will open with the end code shown for the last properly completed lecture segment. Enter that given code into the box and the lecture will resume where left off. It is just that simple.

When finished the attorney is given a final course completion code, which can only be obtained by listening to all of the lecture segments. This final completion course code is proof that the attorney listened to the entire lecture and is entitled to receive participatory credit for the course. This completion code is submitted to Attorney Et Al by clicking the MY ACCOUNT Button after logging on and then clicking the CLE Button and then the PRINT CLE CERTIFICATE BUTTON

Attorney Et Al created a 33 hours program which is free but was denied the 3 hours of technology training even though the program is based on using technology it was not specifically stated where each minute of training cam from. We are working to show where the 3 hours  given throughout the program

In the interim. it would be best to use our program for the basic 30 hours and take 3 hours of free technology training online elsewhere The Florida Bat through  PRI  offers several free technology courses as part of its offerings
